There are also a lot of Career Tech classes, where students can learn about specific careers they would like to go into in the future, some examples are horticulture, construction, photography, nursing, cosmetology, music production, and more. There are a wide verity of classes, including AP, IB, and College Course classes, along with four different foreign languages available to students, taking into consideration that they offer both American Sign Language and Chinese classes. With almost 2.000 students, there is a place for every child at Glenoak. Senior: The Glenoak high school is extremely diverse there are foreign exchange students, the flags of about 15 other countries are hanging in the main hallway, there are students who have a lot of money and there are ones that have the opposite, there is all sorts of different ethnics and races there, students commonly speak another language other than English. Overall, I have a pretty positive experience to reflect back to upon graduation!. Most of the staff are nice and are willing to help you out, even if you aren't in one of their classes. I like that we have multiple options in case you don't like what's on the menu that day. The lunches are pretty mediocre, but walking tacos and Asian fusion days are always my favorite. You could tell how much time and effort the kids and staff put in and how much everyone cared. The theater productions just put on Grease the musical and it was phenomenal. I have thoroughly enjoyed the arts here at Hoover, as we are one of the few schools in the area that still has an orchestra. Our athletic teams are very competitive and always fun to watch. The academics here are very in depth and some of our teachers are very dedicated, going above and beyond their call to duty. Senior: My experience at Hoover High School has been very short as I am limited to reflection of my senior year.
